Marquee is a digital platform for Global Banking & Markets (GBM).

GBM Managed Data Services (MDS) engineers are responsible for designing, implementing and managing a scalable data platform which provides access to market data, research, and a variety of unique and proprietary datasets delivered via our rich APIs. 

It works as a SaaS offering where users can use the APIs. We use Java, Python, Slang, AWS, TypeScript and React.

We want to provide a state of the art builder experience to our clients. We are targeting not just the end users, but the developers and engineers as our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Java & Python.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable systems, with a focus on APIs / modularity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming in async Java framework such as Vertx and experience with concurrency and memory management on web-services
• Strong software architecture and software design experience.
• Knowledge of NoSQL/NewSQL & Time series databases
• Experience architecting, designing, and developing applications on AWS
• Experience with continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD)
• Practiced lean methodologies, like Scrum and SRE practices/frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, etc).
• Ability to proactively establish trust with stakeholders up to executive level.
