Gurgaon POSITION PURPOSE
Primary purpose of the position This position is a decision support for Senior Leadership for data and analysis for making key business decisions in terms of commercials, plant and Sales and also to generate in depth analysis and proposals on top line growth, cost of goods sold efficiencies etc. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Main responsibilities/ Principal duty
  • Forecasting and preparing the annual budget and operating plans in accordance to the company's goals.
  • Create MIS templates and formats for reports based on priorities for business and share updates timely.
  • Work with CFO and senior leadership for creating IBPs for various business verticals.
  • Monthly variance analysis and implementing cost effective tools to control the operating expenditure.
  • Formulating and implementing sound processes and control systems in line with corporate policies to bring efficiency in the overall operations of the organization processes.
  • Monthly scrutiny of Trial Balance & profit & loss account of the plant.
  • Monitoring the D & A expenditure of Distributors, C & F , & Depots on monthly basis.
  • Monitoring the outstanding and timely collection of the plant.
  • Providing analysis and insight on the direction the business should go and proactively challenge the status quo.
  • Analyze top line growth by assessing current and future business results, early identification of new opportunities such as possible entities that could be acquired and new threats for business
  • Perform industry and competitor analysis and develop reports to be shared with BU head and PDL frequently
  • Conduct profitability analysis for product line and track progress towards meeting P&L target
  • Identify and report possible investments such as acquisitions, plant enhancements, capacity increments
  • Conduct scenario analysis for strategic planning activities
  • Ensure alignment between business strategy for business verticals and capital plan and planned spend for the same
  • Identify new and focussed metrics to drive performance for individual businesses and strategic projects.
  • Creates value within business by partnering in profit improvement, lower costs and high performance
  • Carry out feasibility analysis, business model analysis and develop projections and budgets for proposed new projects.


SKILL REQUIREMENTS/ BEHAVIOURIAL TRAITS
  • Business Partnering and Analysis Experience
  • Understanding / work experience of financial and business analytical tools
  • Strong end-to-end business knowledge (FMCG)
  • Exposure to Plant Accounting/Commercial Accounting
  • Finance related accountabilities / experience
  • Open to Travel extensively
EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
  • CA/MBA Finance from Tier 1/Tier 2 College/CFA
  • 3-10 years' relevant experience in business analysis, and providing meaningful insights
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND / OR SKILLS
  • Ability to integrate and interpret disparate sources of data using broad range of analytical data tools. Incorporates use of statistical methodology and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen
  • Demonstrates high degree of curiosity. Invest time and energy into learning. Seeks different points of view and perspectives (internal and external)
