GIS Developer
Location: Perth, Australia

About the role:
Modis is looking for experienced developers with spatial/Esri platform experience, who are ready to take their careers to the next level. In this role, you will be part of one of our fast paced development teams delivering end to end enterprise software applications in a CI/CD, cloud based environment. You will be part of a high calibre team that is delivering functional releases to our customer on a regular basis that make a real difference to our customer's business and their industry. Our teams operate in a DevOps environment, contain a mix of Esri, AWS and Java specialists and we collaborate across workstreams and with the wider Modis technology specialists.
About you:
Required competencies:
- Experience developing quality technical solutions in C#, Javascript, Java, python
- Experience developing using Esri Javascript API, Esri ArcPy, FME, ESRI Desktop API's
- Experience working with Esri platforms ArcGIS/ArcGISPro Desktop/Enterprise
- Experience working with or implementing Continuous Delivery and build automation pipelines
- Focus and commitment to quality and delivering customer focused solutions
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a collaborative and cross functional team including testers, business analysts, infrastructure services colleagues
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and driving positive change in technology and productivity processes.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Javascript frameworks such as Angular JS, jQuery
- Previous experience working in an Agile delivery environment
- Experience in building, deploying and maintaining microservices
- Experience with automated front end testing frameworks (eg. Jasmine)
- Experience with Interaction Design and building UI in HTML5, Javascript and CSS3
- Ability to guide and mentor others in developing effective and responsive UI.
