Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced VMware Project Manager to lead our virtualization projects and initiatives. The VMware Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of VMware-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware technologies, excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, implementation, and execution of VMware-related projects, including virtualization infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and project team members.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate project activities, tasks, and dependencies across multiple teams and departments.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders through regular meetings, status reports, and presentations.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring alignment of goals and priorities.
Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and incorporate feedback into future projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Proven experience as a project manager leading VMware or virtualization projects in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, VMware vSAN, and VMware Horizon.
Excellent project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Experience managing cross-functional project teams and working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management processes is desirable.
