 Position Description
Healthcare is the world's largest medical technology company, offering innovative therapies to fulfill our Mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. Healthcare has recently established an R&D center in Bangalore, and is hiring talented candidates to work on exciting opportunities.
The Electronics Lab Technician should have sound knowledge of electronics basics, board assembly process and managing lab equipment. He/she will be responsible for supporting the engineering team to make the test bench setup and perform the functional testing. He/she needs to work with vendors in calibration and repair of lab equipment. Experience with PCB assembly is a minimum requirement.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain equipment and infrastructure in the electronics/systems lab, including capital equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multi-meters and logic analyzers, as well as components such as cables, breadboards, soldering materials, resistors, capacitors, etc.
Work with the team to setup the test bench and perform basic testing and board bring-up activities
Support the team to perform development verification and qualification testing.
Prepare functional test reports to provide the details of tests and results
 
Basic Qualifications:
Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent from reputed institution
3-6 years of work experience as an electronics lab technician at an R&D lab, preferably at an MNC
Experience working in the hardware lab with full fluency with electronics equipment such as multi-meters, function generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.
Experience with population of PCBs, bread board assembly with electronic components (soldering, testing, etc.) including fine pitch ICs (TSSOP, QFN packages).
Experience with purchasing, storing and inventory management of electronic components
Experience with FPGA or microprocessor-based control systems; analog and/or digital system design; power supply design; interfacing with sensors, actuators, user input buttons and display screens.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with data entry and analysis in Excel
 
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing hardware models and test systems via LabView programming.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts (motors, pumps, valves)
Experience working in a regulated industry (healthcare, automotive, aerospace)
Experience with software programming (C /Assembly Language)
