Job Description:

Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Customer Engineering SW Product Lead to drive the execution of complex, multidisciplinary automotive systems with Qualcomm customers and third party to enable Qualcomm Automotive Products. We expect you thrive in an agile and forward-thinking environment where we constantly balance process, quality and execution speed. You must have a consistent track record of managing large & complex embedded software solutions with strong programming, technical, debug and execution skills.

Activities include:

  • Work closely with engineering, Quality, product management, and sales teams to resolve technical and logistical issues, set correct expectations and keep the scope of the projects on a track to successful execution.
  • Lead SW Product efforts for a given product, aligning with team's effort throughout product ideation, development, qualification, launch and sustaining lifecycles.
  • Drive priorities to ensure products are achieving schedule and milestone targets, proactively elevate risks and obstacles
  • Work with Qualcomm Automotive customers, help identify gaps, close gaps, resolve issues, Track Customer Project Milestones, SOP Schedules, FROP, Upgrade Schedules, Documentation
  • Clearly and thoughtfully communicate issue status to the customer and to internal senior executive teams.
  • Collecting, prioritizing, tracking, and driving customer-reported issues to resolution/closure is a key focus of this role. Correctly represent the urgency of issues and raise them (internally and/or externally) as appropriate.
  • Translation of customer requirements into specific tasks and assignment of those tasks to relevant functional areas should come second nature to you.
  • Regularly communicate executive level program report status and key issues to management.
  • Be the Final CE Final Escalation Point for all regions
  • Manage Qualcomm identified Suppliers, partner organizations that work with OEMs/Tier1s.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
    OR
    Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
    OR
    PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

    • 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
    • 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques.

    Skills Needed for this Role :

    • BS/MS Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
    • 18+ years in the embedded domain with experience in heterogeneous compute platforms consisting of ARMs, GPUs, DSPs.
    • Good understanding of Embedded Software architecture, Design for various firmware and embedded system limitations, Linux kernel internals, scheduling, performance, scalability and resiliency requirements for firmware running on embedded devices.
    • Good understanding of hypervisor and it's usage in automotive embedded systems.
    • Hands-on Experience in design, development and software solutions on multi-core ARM/CPUs, Strong C/C++ programming skills is a plus.
    • Good leadership skills across broad and diverse functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
