JOB DESCRIPTION:

Data Center Project / Project Manager-Network Services

Position Summary:

Senior Level Network Services Data Center project manager responsible to plan, lead and manage the successful delivery of Network Services as part of Data Center Transformation and Consolidation activities.

This senior resource needs to be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, familiar with governing disruptive technologies, managing multiple vendors, contractors and technology disciplines, while communicating to both business and technology resources.

This resource is also responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple concurrent Data Center Migration Projects which delivers Virtualization, Application Refreshes, Quality Assurance, and Compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• A broad knowledge of Data Centre Network Servcies, Links & Connectivity(WAN Links, VPN), IPAM(DHCP, DNS) and other Network Technologies
• Basic Understanding of LAN/WAN Topoologies and Network Devices like Switches, Routers, Firewalls
• Understanding of IP Address, Subnet Masks, VLAN, Network Ports
• Understanding of Firewall Port Opening requests
• Experience in delivering  projects on Network Services as part of Data Centre Transformation and Consolidation activities like  Build(Greefiled), Migration, Upgrade
• Certifications like Network+, CCNA or equivalent will be an added advantage
• Data center consolidation, virtualization project consolidating multiple global DC's to Single/Dual DC.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans while adhering to Data Center Operations project methodology
• Ensure that projects meet timeline, scope and budget requirements.
• Mobile technologies infrastructure upgrades, server, telecom, test environment, deployments, backup and recovery.
• Prepare and effectively communicate appropriate reports and updates to management
• Facilitate the resolution of issues and escalate issues to project stakeholders as required
• Ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders
• Achieve project milestones through regular cross-functional project meetings to review schedule, status, issues and to ensure conflict resolution and risk mitigation
• Manage project scope and document scope changes in order to obtain approval for incremental costs prior to performing work
• Procurement experience is essential
• Strong client facing skills and an acute understanding of consulting.
• Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple concurrent projects directed toward strategic business activities for high availability data center infrastructure based installation, migration, and consolidation projects.
• Project Management of Integrations/Consolidation of Legacy Data Centers across regions to Central DC of Customer/Client.
• Knowledge of VMware Migration, Server Migrations (All Flavors), Routers and Switches Migration, Server Migration, Racks / Cabinets, Security Devices.
• Be able to construct a migration planning workbook, detailing Excel, MS Project, MS Visio and resource
