Quality REPORTS TO
Plant manager /QA Manager
LOCATION
Bangalore
POSITION PURPOSE
To manage plant's quality control department along with food safety and regulatory requirments basis company's and customer specifications.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Main responsibilities/ Principal duty
- To assure the standards/specifications for checking quality of raw material supplies, packing material, processed goods and manufacturing of products
- To assure cleanliness and hygiene specifications for production and storage of foods
- To assure that the procedures for Quality Audit activities are followed
- To monitor and review food for nutritional value and microbiological quality
- Check foods for color, taste and flavor and other critical to quality parameters.
- To review quality reports daily to identify critical quality issues .
- To assure supply and delivery of defect free material to stakeholders / customers.
- Fix quality control norms for raw materials, in process and finished products, ensure review, analyze, implementation and retain master list of filter rods specifications in per laid down procedures and display at proper places.
- Report non- conformity of quality norms to user departments and help organization to achieve zero defect status.
- Review and analysis of customer/ stakeholders complaint in co-ordination with factory manager and if necessary visit to customers/ stakeholders site.
- Ensure regularly calibration and standardization of measuring instruments and equipments and maintain records thereof.
- Quality assurance, food safety audits, customer complaint handling and worker trainings, online regulatry

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/ BEHAVIOURIAL TRAITS
- Team work and leadership skills.
- Problem solving
- Customer handling
- Food technologist (B.Tech, MSc food science)
- Trained for food safety and quality audits.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality and food safety in industry (preferred from bakery)
