- Well versed with the complete SCM cycle from Bid Stage to sorting out Warranty issue if any
- Very Good Exposure on Vendor Management
- Hands on Experience of using SAP version 760
- Good understanding about Lean principles
Education & Experience :
- B.E in Mechanical / Production Engineering with relevant experience
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Procurement of fabricated and machined components
- Good understanding about various Quality tools like Why - Why Analysis, Control plan, PFMEA,LEAN,
- Experience of using SAP version 760

Senior Engineer - SCM
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
BUSINESS: Industrial Group (Pumps)
LOCATION: Daman
DIRECT REPORTING: Sr. Manager/Head SCM
FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Sr. Manager/Head SCM
POSITION DETAILS : Sr. Engineer - SCM
Position Summary
Managing procurement activities for Raw materials – Casting - as main commodity – of different grades. This may involve coordinating with TPI for pouring witness. He / She coordinates and supports overall procurement activities including Supplier Strategy, RFP/ RFQ, Price & Contract Negotiations, Purchase ordering & Expediting, Logistics and Ontime receipts, Sorting out Quality issues etc.
Principal Activities
- Laying down Commodity Strategy for Commodity
- Experience in to machining & fabrication preferred
- Foster Teamwork, provide strategy, expert consultation and collaborate with goals alignment across platforms and functions with an enterprise mindset.
- Accountable for negotiations for best possible deliveries, cost and service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Achieving year on year organizational Targets.
- Visiting the supplier for expediting and for evaluation.
- Supplier Capacity Review, Weekly Open Order Review, Identify Challenges and resolve the same in advance to achieve minimum 95% OTD.
- Maintaining Inventory Turnover Ratio of minimum 6.
- Supplier rationalization and Alternate Supplier development as required.
- Develop and maintain tools to track Market Level Prices for high impact purchases.
- MIS reporting Daily/Weekly/Monthly.
