Senior Manager, Data Science
Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role-As a Global Collections Strategy Senior Manager, responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to optimize the collection process, minimize credit losses, and maximize the collection of outstanding debts. This position will be responsible for leading a team of analysts to drive collections performance across dialer, digital and automated strategies.

This role requires collaboration across many different stakeholders to drive strategic change and you must be an advocate for pushing collections innovation. The team and our partners are located across multiple geographies and regions, therefore the ideal candidate must be comfortable collaborating with different work styles/time zones, and accepting of diverse cultures.
This position requires a proven record of collections operations and credit/loss risk management (global experience preferred with familiarity to regulatory trends), business acumen, creative thinking, strong influencing skills, effective communication and collaboration skills and a foundation of research and analytical skills.
Job Description:

- Designs and develops programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze big data
- Partnership builder with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Rules, Business Intelligence, other strategy teams, Global Data Science, and program management
- Develop and execute collection strategies to minimize delinquency rates and credit losses
- Drive development of robust strategies to drive digital engagement
Your day to day
- Utilize advanced analytics to segment customers and prioritize collections efforts effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance collections processes and systems
- Lead the development of collections segmentation and criteria driven strategies to optimize collections performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry best practices in collections management
- Interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to business stakeholders, and partners with stakeholders to develop meaningful actions
What do you need to bring-
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance, Economics or related quantitative discipline
- Data/decision science leadership experience and working experience within the data-mining, quantitative research or analytics
- Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with senior leaders of the organization
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization
- Proficiency in SAS, Python and SQL
