Clearcase Admin
Required Qualities
Strong ownership for all given responsibilities
Additional Knowledge of Window OS, system hardware and network function/troubleshooting techniques.
Must be able to learn new technology/applications quickly
The candidate should be willing to work in UK shifts and be flexible to work timing depending on business needs including late evening shifts
Must have excellent communication and documentation skills
Must be able to decide on the appropriate communication medium for a given situation (email, chat, meeting, phone, etc.)
Project management basics; Quality and timely completion of tasks
Well organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and adapt to multi-tasking environment
Work easily with others and convey pertinent information as needed
Required Skills.
Experience in Perl and Shell scripting
Ability to read/understand Perl scripts and quickly write Perl / shell scripts to perform automation tasks.
Should have good Troubleshooting skills on Clearcase related problems in Windows.
Knowledge of SCM principles and methods
Experience with Clearcase VOB backups and restores
Support and involve in build activities with respect to Configuration Management.
Should have good working knowledge on Windows 2008 and Windows 2012.
Should be able to appreciate enforcement of System security and experience in setting up and maintaining of the same would be desired
Activites will be:
ClearCase Improvements/Enhancements, migration , Patching and Up-gradation.
o ClearCase License Management
o ClearCase performance Monitoring
Conducting Platform Governance Board
Conducting Platform Technology Review Forum
Automations
o Develop ClearCase Utilities
o ClearCase Housekeeping (Automation of these tasks)
o In-House CM Tool Enhancements a Requested training on C#
ClearCase Level 1/2/3/4 Support for CTO team
o IBM/Rational Primary Technical Contact
o Monitor Error Log and server disk space usage.
o Production of Metrics
o Security enhancement.
o SCM Consultancy
o New user training for CTO team
ClearCase Housekeeping
CM Solution Design
o Changes to the existing SCM plan, Proposing CM solution for new project, etc.
CM implements the policies, procedures, techniques, and tools that are required to manage, evaluate proposed changes, track the status of changes, and to maintain an inventory of changes for software/product development.
