Job Title: Senior Auditor

Location: Gurgaon, India

This position is responsible for completion of audit areas for assigned audits, in a high quality manner and within budgeted costs and timing. The position may be based in Gurgaon, India and reports directly to the Executive Director, Internal Audit of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completion of audit areas for assigned audits, in a high quality manner and within budgeted costs and timing.
  • Coordinate with management and prepare draft audit comments to be discussed with management. 
  • Assist Audit Manager with supervision of external audit resource during audits.
  • This position will also be involved in various special projects, including development of the annual risk analysis used to establish the annual audit plan and completion of quarterly reports required by corporate management, the independent auditors, and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent is required. CPA or equivalent (CA) is preferred.

Experience: Minimum three years of finance/audit-related experience; Experience with developing or auditing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 documentation is preferred; Familiarity with IT systems and controls is preferred.

Skills

  • CPA or equivalent (CA) is preferred, including a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAS. 
  • Other professional certifications, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA), are acceptable, including a thorough understanding of the Institute of Internal Auditor’s (IIA) Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • Manufacturing background (automotive) preferable.
  • Valid passport and the ability to travel on a global basis.
  • Must have excellent written and oral English-language communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, be results-oriented, have a demonstrated history of achievement, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and be capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
  • Must be able to travel when required for assignments.  Expected travel is 20-35%.  Travel is usually for two weeks, but is sometimes three weeks for assignments and may include weekends.
