Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted function that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

Are you looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, international environment in Asset Management? Do you have excellent communication skills and an interest in a broad range of responsibilities? We’re looking for a professional to join the Client Revenue Operations (CRO).

OUR IMPACT

Client Revenue Operations (CRO) is an integral part of the GSAM funds and separate accounts business. CRO covers a range of revenue related activities that allows team members to interact with multiple internal and external teams, vendors, and industry experts. This role will allow one to gain exposure to the workings of the GSAM business, as well as detailed understanding of Client Revenue Operations. 

CRO is responsible for all revenue related activities including different types of fees receivables and payables within GSAM Funds and Institutional Separate account business.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Broad responsibilities include the following:

  • Safeguard the assets and reputation of the firm by controlling and supporting the investment management division, as well as ensuring that they are in compliance with the firm's policies and with the rules/regulations that govern global financial markets
  • Managing the expense payment and allocation process for onshore and offshore mutual funds, monitoring, and liaising with third party vendors providing the expense processing service and performing review functions
  • Handle reporting requirements to Senior Management and to AWM.
  • Work closely with other divisions, including: Business Teams, Product Services, Operations, IT and Trading Divisions
  • Work closely with fund administrators and auditors

SKILL / EXPERIENCE

Required skill sets include:

  • Qualified Commerce Graduate / Post Graduate / MBA with experience in the alternative investment/mutual funds market and process management desired
  • Work Experience:  9 - 13 Yrs years 
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements preparation & review; USGAAP, IFRS knowledge and experience in coordinating with Big 4 accounting firms during audit cycle is an advantage
  • Basic industry knowledge and strong accounting knowledge is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Able to grasp new concepts quickly and work in a team environment
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal, client relationship and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Self starter, inquisitive, enthusiastic with a strong analytical mind-set
  • MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel) required
