Role Code: ARDDEA Job Family: Role Title: Software Engineering Professional Discipline: LOB / BU: L2C F Cluster, BTID Global Platforms Typically reports to (role): Software Engineering Manager Location: Bangalore India Roles that typically report to this role: Developers and designers Key Purpose of the Role: We are looking for a strong and experienced iOS developer who will perform both as an individual contributor as well as an able team leader. This individual will perform new development as well as support enhancements to a complex business application.
Principal Responsibilities:

• To analyze problems and propose solutions by presenting working PoCs (beta code).
• To interface with both the vendors and internal organization at architects/designers/developers level.
• To work with program managers and colleagues across BT to ensure programs/projects are successful and integrated with other programs taking place across the company.
• To ensure the appropriate change control processes are established.
• To conduct regular project reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Enhance efficiency of dev/test/release process - develop tools, frameworks as required

Strong OO design, programming skills in Objective-C, SWIFTand design patterns.
Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, etc).
Deliver across the entire app life cycle concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores
Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
Experience building native and web apps.
Experience using social media APIs.
Using version control (e.g. SVN/GIT).
Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.

Qualifications

Essential

• Possess BE/BTech. degree in Computer Science or related field
• Possess 2-7 years of experience in IT.
• Strong iOS skills
• Provide technical and functional guidance and direction to team members
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable

• Have a sound knowledge of today's enterprise application technologies and design patterns and be able to articulate it in existing/new code.
• Experience in product development environments and knowledge of tools such as Subversion etc.
• Strong interest in learning new skills/technologies and curiosity to explore various technologies and solution approaches.
• Telecom domain experience
