Job Description
 
The Retail Build and Release services function is responsible for delivering support for software configuration management, Continuous Integration of builds and deployments, rollouts of builds to control environments for Retail Business applications using strategic tools set like ClearCase, SVN, Teamcity, Buildforge, Bamboo and uDeploy.
This is a vital function which plan the overall path of release to production.
 
The key functions of this group is to support following areas:
 

• Software configuration management services to Retail business area applications.
• Build and Release Automation of application based on Java / J2EE / Databases technology.
• Support of tools like SVN, ClearCase, Teamcity, Buildforge, Bamboo and uDeploy.
• Setup and support Continuous integration of builds and deployments.
• Supporting non-prod controlled environment builds rollouts.
• Maintaning environment handover SLA to testing teams.
• Continuous inprovements to build and release processes to bring environment SLA in acceptable time frame.

 
Job Description
 
The successful candidate will play a proactive role in this function to support SCM, Build and Release deployment services for Retail business area.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
 

• Software configuration management and status accounting of repositories inn ClearCase and SVN.
• Supporting day-today SCM related requests like repository creation, Branch creation, Baselines etc.
• Supporting application builds for current releases for projects and programs.
• Support for Build and Release tools; uDeploy, Bamboo and Teamcity.
• Automation of application builds and deployment.
• Identification of gaps and perform continuous improvements in SCM, Build and Release areas.
• Maintain and keep up-todate baseline sync-ups in terms of code-level for non-prod environments.
• Liaising with delivery teams to discus and agree on deployment schedule.

 
 Job Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
 
Necessary Skills are:
 
 
 

• At least 3to 5 years overall experience within IT with expertise in software configuration management, build automation and deploymnets function.
• Good hands-on Admin level knowledge on ClearCase, SVN, uDeploy, BuildForge, Teamcity.
• Practical experience and good understanding of system integrations and dependencies for WEB applications based out of Java / J2EE / SOA / Databases (Oracle and Sybase) technology.
• Hands-on experience in scripting gfor UNIX / WINDOW based environment.
• Hands-on experience in setting-up continuous integration for an application.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of financial services domain will be preffered.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Calm approach when under pressure
• Solid organisational skills
• Knowledge of the mutual funds industry
