Technical Delivery Manager
Job Title: Technical Delivery Manager
Job Location: Bangalore
- As a Technical Delivery Manager in BT, your team will be responsible for developing large scale telecom OSS applications from scratch based on Java/J2EE and open source technologies. Your team also designs and implements micro services. Drive the team to deliver and execute the technical and product roadmap for the stakeholders in UK.
Responsibilities
- Drive the team to deliver and execute the technical and product roadmap for the Unified Commerce platform.
- Develop the careers and technical capabilities of a team of BT regular and vendor engineers across multiple technical areas and platforms.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in engineering practices and software delivery.
- Contribute to the technical leadership team and our shared values of creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work community.
- Drive key technical decisions and proactively handle risks, issue and roadblocks to ensure success solution delivery of the end product.
- Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions.
- Provide strong technical vision for your team and ensure consistent delivery on objectives.
- Bring new ideas, designs, and tools to the table, drive technical discussions and decision making related to the development and technology stack
- Demonstrated experience growing the careers and practices of a software development team.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of engineering experience with strong java/j2ee background.
- Experience in Agile and Devops methodology.
- Background experience in Java, Spring framework, SQL and cloud experience such as AWS, Azure
- Experience with RDBMS and no SQL databases
- Background experience in RESTful Microservices
- Experience on Deployment Automation & Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). ... Configured software builds.
- Devops CI/CD - Automated build process and deployed to non-production and production environment
- Background experience in API design, development, and management
- Demonstrated experience leading projects on a global scale
- Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus and expertise
- Strong communication skills
