Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge on Global Environmental Compliance requirements such as REACH, RoHS, etc.,
• Knowledge on component Material declarations & analyze to find the presence of any SVHCs.
• Understanding of the chemical composition of materials namely metals, plastics, elastomers
• knowledge on any compliance regulation topics: REACH, RoHS, SCIP, Material Content Data Collection, ELV Compliance, RRR Directive Compliance, WEEE Directive Compliance, Carbon footprint Compliance, California Proposition 65 (CA Prop 65), Conflict Mineral, IMDS Reporting, EPA TSCA.
• Well versed in use of various International Material standards, symbols defined for various kinds of materials and chemical substances
• Knowledge in heat treatment, surface coating and additive manufacturing
• Familiarity with pertinent environmental material compliance software tools such as Total Materia and CDX.
• Technical Writing – Material Compliance Reports, Field Failure Analysis
• Systematic and analytical problem-solving skills and ability to manage large amounts of data using different tools such as Excel Pivot tables & information organization skills
• Ability to prioritize, balance and manage multiple efforts with result/goal orientation
• Timely and accurate resolution of queries from supplier and customers
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse global teams

Education & Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed college or university.
• Preferably 1-3 years of experience as an Environmental Compliance Engineer with ample knowledge in global environmental compliance legislation such as REACH, RoHS, WEEE, Prop65 & conflict minerals, etc., and other applicable, regional, and local regulations.
