Detailed JD:
  • Sr. Consultant with 4-6 years of development experience in AbInitio, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix environment with exposure to database concepts & large-scale development / production support projects. Should have Excellent communication skills
  • Job Responsibilities Sr. Consultant Application Developer develops code for high complex modules, Creates High complex application designs/reviews teams design and guide them appropriately.
  • Participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews, and resolves complex defects. This position is for the support and enhancement of AbInitio applications/systems.  Including new code development and enhancements.  It includes designing changes to applications, coding and testing those changes and supporting the quality control testing of the applications.  It also includes incident/problem/Known errors management and pro-actively identifying, addressing and monitoring any issues coming up in Production.      
  • Be able to evaluate technical designs and data mapping documents, in partnership with onshore designers and developers, based on user requirements •       
  • Utilize designs to develop accurate, defect-free code • Create and update technical documentations using high level technical specification documents • Create unit test plans and conduct unit testing accordingly • Participate in code reviews, and test plan reviews • Work with QC Analyst to ensure appropriate conditions are identified, provide technical expertise on execution of applications, and support QC processes •
  • Provides input in creating detailed ETL development estimates or change requests •      
  • Be able to coordinate and work with outside vendors for application development •
  • Perform performance tuning on both UNIX ETL and Oracle database environments •      
  • Participate in Production Support transition meetings •
  • Other responsibilities include enhancement, performance tuning and support of existing applications
