Information Security Principal Engineer

What You’ll Do

  • Maintaining our Security Tools to ensure our various partner teams and organizations have functioning tools with which to monitor, detect and protect our environment. 
  • You’ll interact frequently with other members of the Information Security team and the IT technical teams at TTEC along with the IT Operations and Engineering teams.
  • You’ll be working with vendor’s to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • You’ll report to the Security Tools Manager, you’re role is impactful as it protects TTEC from data loss and security events.

During a Typical Day, You’ll

  • Conduct proactive monitoring of both our cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Execute pre-planned changes and plan future changes.
  • Responding to and troubleshooting issue’s and concerns.
  • Spend time understanding the environment you're responsible for and engage with various. teams to gain further knowledge of the environment(s).
  • Recognize and address potential problems.
  • Communicate with relevant teams on changes, developments and fixes.
  • Support, mentor, and train others on tool use, features and functionality.
  • Update or create internal documentation.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Information Systems or IT security-related functions.
  • Significant experience with SIEM Implementation and Maintenance.  Exabeam experience is required.
  • Knowledge of information security principles, concepts, practices.
  • Knowledge of networks, firewalls, and operating systems.
  • Ability to provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical information technology security issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources.
