Specialty Development Practitioner

Job Description:

• Design & deploy Data Centric Arch in GCP for Mat Mgmt Platform which would get/give data from multiple apps (modern & Legacy)
• Design & implement data-centric solutions on GCP using tools like STS,CDF,Pub/Sub,Data flow,Cloud compression,Cloud scheduler,Gutil,FTP/SFTP,Dataproc,BigTable...
• Build ETL pipelines to ingest the data from heterogeneous sources into our sys
• Develop data processing pipelines using pgming lang like Java & Python to extract, transform & load (ETL) data
• Create & maintain data models, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval & analysis of large datasets
• Deploy & manage DBs, both SQL & NoSQL, such as Bigtable/Firestore/Cloud SQL based on proj req
• Collab with cross-func teams to understand data reqs & design scalable solutions that meet biz needs
• Implement security measures & data governance policies to ensure the integrity & confidentiality of data
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, & cost-effectiveness on the GCP infra
• Work with data scientists/analysts to integrate ML models into data pipelines for predictive analytics
• Troubleshoot & resolve issues related to data processing, storage & retrieval
• Collab with stakeholders to gather & define data reqs, ensuring alignment with biz objectives
• Design & implement scalable, fault-tolerant solutions for data ingestion, processing & storage
• Develop & maintain doc for data eng processes, ensuring KT & ease of sys maint
• Utilize GCP monitoring & logging tools to proactively identify & address performance bottlenecks & sys failures
• Implement version control & CI/CD for data eng workflows to ensure reliable & efficient deployments
• Collab with DevOps teams to automate infra provisioning & mgmt tasks
• Optimize & tune DB queries & indexing strategies for improved query performance
• Participate in on-call rotations to address critical issues & ensure the reliability of data eng sys

 

Skills Required:

• Data-centric solutions on GCP using various tools like Storage Transfer Service, Cloud Data Fusion, Pub/Sub, Data flow, Cloud compression, Cloud scheduler, Gutil, FTP/SFTP, Dataproc, BigTable etc.

 

Skills Preferred:

• Kubernetes, cloud engine & app engine

 

Experience Required:

• 4 to 6+ years' experience as GCP Data Engineer with experience to orchestrate GCP from scratch

 

Education Required:

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent
