Migration Team Lead

Experience:
10+ Years of experience in IT Infrastructure with at least 6+ years' recent experience in Data Center application migration.

Certification: Vmware, Linux , Dell EMC storage etc. Desired but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Defining migration strategy
  • Analyzing project-related information and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Coordinate with business for outage window
  • Follow internal methodology and processes, and generate new perspectives and frameworks
  • Work with the client and vendor to ensure smooth migrations
  • Lead the technical team on all the relevant activities
  • Update progress to the leadership in term of scheduled vs planned timeline
  • Highlight any upcoming risks or issues and Manage Risk and issue register
  • Technical guidance to the team
  • Update technical documentation as required by stake holders
  • Create and maintain project plan for their concerned waves
  • Follow the finalized migration strategy and share it among the Wave leads
  • Monitoring the schedule and timelines of responsible wave activities.
  • Update the project plan to migration lead on progress in each corresponding wave
  • Review blue prints and process documents with the program and project manager
  • Audit and compliance documentation update



Required Skills – Architecture and implementation experience
  • Compute –HPE. Knowledge in Converged infra is desired
  • Storage – Dell EMC, HPE
  • Hypervisors – VMWare
  • Operating Systems – RHEL,SUSE ,Windows
