 Should have good experience in Firewall Technology (Cisco / Palo Alto / Fortigate / Juniper / Checkpoint, etc.)
Good experience with Proxy (Blue Coat / Zscaler / Websense / Scansafe)
Good exposure of Load Balancers (F5 / Net Scaler)
Should be strong in security design and implementation
Should be from design, implementation, solution background (no operations background/profile)
Should understand architecture, interface with the customer, propose solution to customer
Preparing HLD, LLD – right candidate for design role
Transforming, deploying – right candidate for implementation role
Excellent communication skills

• Capture customer requirements, develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security threaths and vulnerabilities.
• Prepare Documents like, HLD/LLDs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) etc. 
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
• Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities.
• Work with a variety of external customers internally and externally.
• Engage with multiple teams across various verticals like PM,SRMs, operations etc to ensure that BT security requirements are considered when delivering/developing new services.

  Technical Skills:

• NGFW : Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, CheckPoint, CISCO etc.
• Proxy: Zscalaer, Blue Coat
• AAA: CISCO Client, ForeScout, NAC.
• SIEM/Security Analytics & Management: QRadar, ArcSight, SkyBox etc.
• APTs: FireEye, Symantec
• DDos: Arbor, Akamai
• Scripting: Pyton/Pearl  
• VPN: SSL, IKE v1 & v2

•   Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols like, Adavance persistent threats, Cloud Security (AWS, Azure), Sandboxing, VA/PT, PKI etc.
•  Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills.

  •  Security Consultant should have 5-8 years of core experience in Netwrok and Information Security.
 •  Hands on experience in security systems, including NGFW, IPS/IDS, Proxy, AAA, log management, content filtering, DDoS etc.
•  Experience of managing design projects independently.
