General Summary:

Audio Systems team is looking for a HW Systems engineer with a passion for developing audio Codec solutions. You will be working with a team of HW Systems and Audio Systems experts to develop advanced technology and HW solutions for mobile phones, Compute, XR, and variety of IoT devices. Members of our team enjoy the opportunity to participate in cutting edge research while simultaneously contributing technology that will be published in patents/papers and deployed worldwide in our industry-leading devices. The team works with algorithm, hardware and software engineers across the company to develop, port newly designed solutions to real live prototypes shown at tradeshows and support commercialization on snapdragon products.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities:

•  Design and develop innovative Audio codec designs for advanced audio features

•  Develop interfaces compliant with industry specifications such as Soundwire, SDCA

•  Support end-to-end HW-SW system design, development, prototyping, performance validation and commercialization of new codec features/technologies that meet performance, power, robustness and stability metrics on Qualcomm platforms

•  Support customer requests and integartion with Customer platforms

Minimum Qualifications

•  HW experience developing digital Audio codec and interfaces such as I2S/I2C, Slimbus, Soundwire, SDCA

•  Understanding of Analog and digital Audio Codec design and interfaces 

•  Experience working with Speaker Amplifiers is a plus

•  Strong programming skills in  C/C++, Python 

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid background in Audio Codec design, Codec interfaces and electroacoustic design

•  Proficiency in designing, prototyping and implementing Audio solutions E2E

•  Willingness to engage in hands-on R&D in Audio Codec design and Codec features

•  Experience using Audio Precision, and working on codec evaluation platforms

•  Familiarity with recent trends in Codec design and specifications
