Location:  Pune/Chennai

Purpose of Job:

The Cloud Security SME is a focused, hybrid of roles stemming from the following: technologist, researcher, consultant, engineer and partner working as part of a cross-functional team supporting large and strategic technology programs. Lead project work streams, synthesize and analyse complex data, and work with Tech Mahindra technology teams to develop high-quality public and private cloud security solutions in a fast-paced environment.

A key purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise to Azure cloud security, working with Tech Mahindra's cloud platform teams, helping them understand requirements and security principles.  In addition, this position will be responsible for engaging and collaborating with capability owners across the organization to embed security requirements.

Major Responsibilities

•   Works in active partnership with technical stakeholders (solution, infrastructure, and application architects) to deliver cloud security architecture.

•    Develops security domain expertise and technical objectives that will enable successful and secure delivery of project and program goals,

•   Is able to understand requirements driven through policy, regulatory and legal mandates and be able to rationalize them with various technology and business leaders

•    Establishes security criteria based on business, compliance, risk reduction and use case. •    Recommends security controls, improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases

•    Build security standards and architecture and engineering patterns around required security controls

•    Look for opportunities to automate security specification and verification in the delivery process

•    Engage with delivery teams to drive empowerment and self-service security knowledge Mandatory Skills

•    Strong experience providing technical security engineering support for complex enterprise security projects/programs

•    Designing HLD and LLD to secure cloud platform within various IaaS, PaaS, SaaS cloud platforms

•    Strong experience in AWS and Azure Cloud Native Security Controls like RBAC, AD, IAM, NSG, ASG, WAF, Key Vault, Load Balancer, DNS, VPN Gateway, Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center.

•    Strong experience with Secure DevOps

•   Strong understanding of cyber security defense in depth strategies

•    Fluency with IT governance standards including NIST, CSA, and other technical standards •    Strong Oral and written communications skills to enable effective and meaningful information exchange between technical and non-technical people across multiple levels of organizational structure Competencies and Best Practice

•    Specific experience in architecture, engineering and operational management of large enterprise security engineering teams in Fortune 500

•    Demonstrated hands-on experience secure cloud platforms

•    Demonstrated hands-on experience with Secure DevOps, using cloud based technology •    Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with private and public cloud computing architectures (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS)

•    Experience as a primary contributor in improving or creating industry security standards and participating in working groups

•    Ability to effectively communicate strategy, or provide clarity to various audiences from Technical architects and software engineers.

•    Execute within a Team of teams and collaborate to deliver desired goals
