Corporate Planning & Management-Divisional Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) – Associate- Bengaluru

Corporate Planning and Management (CPM) Risk & Resilience drives identification, assessment, and management of risks across CPM functions, enabling the division to proactively monitor its risk profile, anticipate issues and continuously implement control enhancements.

The role is located in Bengaluru as part of the first line of defense, CPM Risk & Resilience team within the CPM Division. You will be acting as a champion and primary point of contact for regional stakeholders across all 3LoDs for matters related to the division’s third party risk profile (e.g., vendors, contingent workers, and interaffiliate service providers). The Divisional Third Party Risk Management (DTPRM) team is responsible for implementing a divisional Third Party Risk & Control Framework to manage the CPM third party risk in compliance with the firmwide program.  

            Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide active engagements across the full spectrum of risks from introduction of Third Parties ensure appropriate oversight and governance of the first line risk taking activities 
  • Engage with Risk Partners across the organization (e.g. Compliance, Technology), as needed, to review control requirements and drive resolution of vendor issues with Vendor Relationship Owners (VROs) 
  • Facilitate disruption testing in partnership with firmwide operational resilience and VROs
  • Develop and provide periodic global and regional reporting on vendor landscape, risks, controls and overall status of divisional execution against the program requirements 
  • Manage internal and external third party risk exam requests (regulatory, audit, compliance) 
  • Equip enterprise vendor relationship owners and divisional vendor risk owners with skills, training, and awareness on their roles 
  • Support and help lead aspects of global TPRM program initiatives, priorities, working with global program and capability leads, as well as the global team overall including development of a process inventory, adoption of controls, issue tagging, enhancing a new activity, and overall adherence to Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) elements
  • Manage incidents when they occur, complete post-mortems and drive actions to closure with VROs 
  • Champion and advocate for program maturity and development with key partners across the organization, ensuring alignment with the firm’s overall third party strategy 
  • Performing offboarding tasks in a timely manner 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • 6 to 9 years’ experience in a risk management, third party risk management, and/or enterprise risk program 
  • Risk management experience a must – non-financial and operational risk management experience, specifically, preferred 
  • Possess a strong risk management and control mindset linked with ability to support the delivery of commercial outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
  • Highly organized; Attention to detail (especially data quality) and excellent follow-through required
  • Analytical thinker, able to quickly assess situations, prioritize and multi-task; Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong Presentation Skills 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Exemplary attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Drive, motivation and resilience – ability to handle multiple tasks, taking initiative to improve his / her own performance, working towards goals and persisting in the face of obstacles or setbacks
  • Ability to build long-term relationships and consensus across divisions
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and MS Excel skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities with multiple interdependencies across a number of GS internal teams. You will be key in connecting various functions or teams and sharing information
  • Creativity and innovation, with an ability to critically examine current processes to propose and develop improvements
  • An understanding of Goldman Sachs business structures and processes (i.e., ability to “navigate GS”) 

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters/Bachelors degree in a related field (Commerce, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, etc.). 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Certification on Risk Management
