Linux Engineer

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1
Must have expertise to handle Linux system administration
2
Tasks include but not limited to analysis of system utilization and resources, coordination of system upgrades or fixes, and generating reports as required
3
Ensure all scheduled back-ups are successfully completed
4
Co-ordinate with Vendors for issues and their resolution
5
Review and update SOPs/KB Articles
6
Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
7
Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
8
Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
9
Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
10
Good communication, Organizational and analytical and troubleshooting skills
11
Good customer handling and inter-personal skills
