CORPORATE TREASURY

Corporate Treasury manages the firm’s liquidity, funding, balance sheet and capital to maximize net interest income and return on equity through liability planning and execution, financial resource allocation, asset liability management, and liquidity portfolio management.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted segment that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business. 

OUR IMPACT

Corporate Treasury manages the firm’s financial resources and minimizes interest expense through liability planning, asset liability management, and liquidity portfolio yield enhancement. The segment is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills who want to work in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment that requires collaboration across many functions at the firm. Within Corporate Treasury- Funding and Execution Team focuses on efficient management of liabilities supporting the firm’s assets, including issuance of secured and unsecured liabilities and execution of interest rate, currency and other hedging strategies. Funding and Execution Team also manages the firm’s excess liquidity portfolio, ensuring efficient alignment of cash and collateral balances and implementing yield enhancement strategies in the portfolio.

The Treasury Trading product suite includes structured repos, collateral upgrades, swaps, loans, bond borrows and notes, as well as other more complex products, designed to optimize firm funding across a range of constraints and objectives. The CT Middle Office team partners with trading, structuring and control functions across the firm to coordinate front-to-back lifecycle management for the diverse mix of transactions executed by Desk. Key responsibilities of the team include liaising with clients to verify trades and coordinate settlements, helping in managing front to back lifecycle management of Issuances both unsecured and secured funding, ensuring accurate position capture of trading risk, and partnering with Engineering to uplift technology infrastructure and support new product development. CT Middle Office is looking for collaborative, analytical, highly-motivated professionals to join our Middle Office team, responsible for covering a wide range of Treasury product suite and risk functions. 

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES

• Must be willing to gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade lifecycle by interacting with desk, sales, strategists in addition to legal, product control, credit, and structuring teams in order to work toward the shared goal of risk mitigation.
• Act as 1st line of defense for desk, timely performing exotic trade reviews and flag discrepancies appropriately
• Partner with cross federation teams to ensure accurate and timely settlement of transactions.
• Working closely with Structuring and Desk on new business initiatives.
• Minimize financial, reputational and regulatory risk to the firm and its clients.
• Must be able to contribute towards continuous process enhancement, creating efficiencies in the process and providing risk benefits
• Candidate should have keen risk management mind set and should be willing to contribute in installing controls as and when necessary across the functions
• Perform well under pressure as well as a deadline oriented environment and should be comfortable with handling Ad-hoc requests
• Act as first point of contact for Treasury Trading and to field client queries.
• Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

• Analytical skills, Excellent communication skills, problem solving ability and ability to think outside of the box
• Candidate should be flexible and must have ‘Can-do’ attitude
• Aptitude for building relationships/networking and ability to communicate complex issues clear and concise to different set of audience
• Accuracy, detailed oriented and should be Team player
