Principal Engineer Java Back - End | Delhi

Our Client is looking for a (Senior) Java Back-End Developer with a Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience with Java Server side development for our Indian office in Delhi.
Responsible for designing, coding and testing individual Java applications from specific requirements
Interpret written business requirements, functional designs and technical specification documents
Assist in physical and logical database design
Investigate, analyze and fix reported defects
Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
Understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards
Prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
4+ years of server-side Java development experience
Advanced Object Oriented Analysis and Design concepts
Understanding of concurrency / multi-threading concepts and common issues in high concurrency environments
Solid understanding of communication and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP). Experience with XMPP and Java NIO is a big plus
Experience with XML and web services (both client and server)
Good debugging skills (performing thread-dump and heap-dump analysis)
Knowledge of Profiling, Maven and SVN are considered a plus
Familiar with both SQL and noSQL databases (MySQL, Redis, Riak, Memcached)
Familiar with open source frameworks/libraries like Spring, Apache HTTP Client, CXF, jUnit
Experience with Test Driven Development/Unit testing
Contributes appropriately to conversations
Understands client-server architectures
Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure
A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work
Strong English communication skills (written/oral)
Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment
