Specialty Development Practitioner
- Converting existing Cognos Powercubes to Planning Analytics cubes.
- Provide input to best practices for designing and implementing Planning Analytics cubes.
- Planning Analytics configuration, optimization and tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Work with large datasets, managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources.
- Take ownership of issues through to delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate
- Contribute to technical resolution of incidents and continuously improve operations resilience.
Skills Required:
- Strong technical experience in Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics (TM/1) 5+ years.
- Strong understanding of SQL (Oracle preferred) and database management.
- Data analysis and data validation skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Working independently, taking initiative
- Experience working with VDI desktops and requesting needed access to servers and databases
- Experience with Google BigQuery.
- Experience with QlikSense.
- Experience with Python and Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with VBA scripting/excel macros.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence
- Automotive industry knowledge would be an added advantage.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in Cognos Analytics.
Education Required:
- Bachelor Degree
