Purpose of the Job Role
Lead and develop the store teams to consistently deliver agreed targets and store standards
To deliver brand compliant stores that are visually attractive and easy to shop
To function as a duty manager in the store in the absence of the Store Manager
Key Accountabilities
Develop a motivated, committed and high performing store team
Encourage and promote all opportunities to drive sales, leading by example
Implementation of BU and marketing guidelines
Ensure store layout is in line with Marks and Spencer layout and guidelines
Understand local customer needs and ensure this is delivered through both product and service
Be familiar with local competition and respond accordingly in order to create competitive advantage
Line manage Supervisor and the store team using effective performance coaching to achieve results
Ensure the sales floor is proportionate
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of seasonal look as per BU guidelines
Ensure achievement of sales targets for the Floor/ Store
Monitor achievement of sales targets and take corrective measure where required
Ensure store staff are trained in customer service requirements and that OSS is alive in the store consistently improving mystery shop results
Build a connection with the customers and understand their needs
Ensure sequential links for layout in consultation with the Visual Merchandiser
Monitor the feedback from staff and customers on the store products and services and give feedback to the relevant area where required
Engage staff in the store with regular briefings and accurate and timely delivery of the recognition policy in store
Develop team members by providing them with timely and constructive feedback
Conduct performance appraisals of your team
