Circor Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Onsite) Full-Time

TITLE: SALES ENGINEER

Business: Industrial (Pumps)

Location: Chennai

Reporting: Regional Sales Manager

POSITION DETAILS

Position Activities

Acquires, establishes and develops relationships with existing and prospect customers

in Southern region for handling existing sales from Telangana State and coastal Andhra Pradesh and also to grow business profitably from that region.

Principal Activities

o Identification of business from existing and prospective customers in respective territory or areas of responsibility

o Passionate individual who is eager to work in industrial sales.

o Basic business acumen and smart thinking (basic discipline of executing the things and prioritizing the tasks, Proactive mindset) is mandatory.

o As we are in ETO (engineering to Order), candidate Should be Interested in understanding the Technical elements involved and its commercial implications and implement it in closing the sales cycle profitably.

o Should be willing to Travel and meet the customers and channel partners frequently.

o Possess some basic knowledge about the Payment terms in industrial equipment sales.

o Good communication skill to interact with internal and external customer.

o Keen in learning and developing the territory, market, industry, and application knowledge to get incremental business from new clients.

o Experience in handling OEMs (Original equipment manufacturer), consultants would be an added advantage. For Hyderabad Candidate handling defense customers like DMDE and OEMs Like BHEL would be an added advantage.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  1. Experience in managing major accounts customers and large contracts or even a business, particularly achieving genuine sales development.
  2. Hands on experience / understanding of Pump business Negotiation skills
  3. Competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
  4. Good regional exposure and ability to identify Opportunities
  5. Prior experience in proposal management and Application engineering would be an advantage

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

• Post Graduate degree in Management would be an added advantage

• 2-7 years of experience in Industrial product / project sales.
