Business Unit Overview

Loan Management primarily supports the Global Management Division and Investment Banking Division within Goldman Sachs. Loan Management, amongst other things, is responsible for directing and facilitating due diligence (at both, the deal and asset levels) for the acquisitions, asset management and sales/securitizations of various types of loan portfolios in the US, EMEA and APAC. 

Loan Management is currently seeking an Analyst/Associate to support the vendor management activities.

An Analyst/Associate will also assist in the review and management of the Loan Management vendors by acting as the Vendor Relationship Owner (VRO) or Co-VRO as applicable. GS has specific requirements based on the inherent risks of the vendor servicers and requires the VRO appropriately onboard the vendor, complete recurring oversight functions in the Know Your Third Party (KY3P) vendor portal, as well as coordinate other GS risk partner surveys and responses and manage any issues identified within the Vendor Risk Portal (VRP).An Analyst/Associate will also be responsible to Liaison with the TPRM team.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Assist in Vendor onboarding tasks and status monitoring.
  • Coordinate with other GS Risk Partners for completion of KY3P tasks.
  • Work with Vendor Tech Risk (VTR) and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) as follows;
    • Ensure KY3P Profiles and Risk Tiers are established appropriately.
    • Coordinate VRP issues and obtain details on identified issues and requirements for remediation.
    • Respond to VRP issuesand either remediate, request cancellation (if erroneous), or risk accept pending remediation or lack of ability to remediate.
    • Assist in coordinating required vendor meetings to resolve VRP issues.
  • Manage a vendor working file of all VRP issues and prior review responses.
  • Draft email requests that require VP, MD or PMD and TPRSG approvals (these will be sent to the LOB POC for approval)
  • Escalate internal or vendor related issues, points of clarification or reviews with the Dallas LOB POC

Skillset

  • Exhibit an understanding of the use of third-party vendors and associated risks.
  • Knowledge of Private Internal Information (PII) and the need to protect it.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceOrganization Control Reports(SOC) and how to identifyissues raised within them.
  • General business knowledge of financial industry vendors, to identify, if issues are truly relevant to the services provided and if there are ways to remediate issues raised.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written)-(clear, concise, and confident)
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships. 
  • Solid analytical/logical mindset and attention to detail
