Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role -You will be in a highly visible leadership position to own multiple product areas in the APAC region to drive outsized impact for the organization. You will work across markets and product lines to discover, evangelize, prioritize and deliver product solutions in APAC working closely with local and global teams.
Meet our team -
The Director of Product, APAC is a member of the APAC Product team. This team is responsible for maturing PayPal product and value proposition in Asian markets cutting across enterprise customers, SMB customers and end consumers. Our objectives include increasing the coverage and relevance of PayPal products in our region supporting both domestic and cross-border trade. Our team works closely with stakeholders across global Product and Platform teams, Partnerships, Engineering, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to lead the execution against business outcomes in the region. The team is responsible for delivering and managing high quality products across the portfolio of products PayPal offers, while also supporting critical external engagements with regulators, partners, customers, and vendors.

Your way to impact -
- Act as a thought partner for the regional General Manager and the Product Leadership team
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Program Management, Strategy and Global Product leaders to drive economic performance and strategy
- Drive decisions around prioritization and resourcing trade-offs
- Positively influence the quality of our Products and Platforms regionally and also globally
- Seed new opportunities that help us grow in the region, while also creating templates that can be scaled to other regions
Your day to day -
- You will be in a highly visible leadership position in the team that works closely with the APAC regional leadership and global Product leadership.
- The day-to-day work includes facilitating decision making, delivering products with a high say-do ratio, and driving tangible, measurable impact across key business metrics.
- Most importantly, you will require deep problem-solving capabilities to address vital issues and new greenfield opportunities.
- You will directly lead a team of Product Managers and indirectly lead a group of cross-functional teams to deliver outsized impact.
What do you need to bring -
- 15+ years of overall experience and 10+ years in Product Management, preferably with exposure to payments or financial services.
- Superb team management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with technical tools and reviewing product requirements and architectural tradeoffs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior executives in large strategic forums to drive alignment and buy-in.
- Strong analytical abilities with deep experience in driving business cases and strategic decisions.
- Experience supporting e-commerce payments and allied services. Experience across multiple merchant verticals a plus (travel, subscription, digital goods & services, SAAS, etc.)
- Awareness of the APAC payments landscape and deep relationships with industry leaders is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
