We are looking for an Analyst with Operations experience to join the Tax Operations Department in Bengaluru. Consequently, this role requires an energetic, enthusiastic and driven individual. The role offers broad exposure to many divisions and groups within the firm.
OUR IMPACT
Tax Operations is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm’s compliance with tax reporting authorities across the globe. The team has responsibility for analyzing new or additional regulations on fail payments, cost-basis reporting, and partnership reporting; reviewing product areas that are the focus of tax authorities; designing process set-ups to handle regulatory changes; reviewing system changes that may impact tax processes; and tax process change and improvements. The group also provides operational tax support for new business opportunities and emerging jurisdictions explored by different businesses of the firm. The team is also responsible for effectively managing vendor relations.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world
- Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation
- Core Operations is responsible to many of the first custody and control services supporting various business lines.
- Tax Operation provides tax processing for assets managed and in custody of the firm, catering to multiple clients across products by ensuring their tax regulations are adhered to and are accurate
- The team is focused on providing excellent client service by working with the clients or their representatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience in financial services
- Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses a good understanding of client types, relevant markets, products, processes, regulations and systems required to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the economics that underlie transactions or processes being performed.
- Proactively seeks and undertakes appropriate training to further enhance client / market / industry knowledge.
