IT Software Asstem Manager-

overall of 10+ years of experience with 6-7 years in ITAM/ SAM

Location :Bangalore

Job Description: This position is for a Software Asset Management Analyst. This Enterprise IT position has responsibility for successfully maintaining day to day operational support as it relates to Asset Management of systems, software licensing and peripherals.

This position is member of a small team which is responsible for the successful coordination, documentation and reporting of enterprise wide Asset Management activity.

Daily activities also include, but are not limited to data analysis, and reporting; customer service, producing monthly metrics, and maintenance of asset information in asset management databases.

•             Experience with Cloud environment including the various cloud software models, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).

•             Work with the infrastructure Service Teams to support the integration of Asset Management with Service Management Functions

•             Coordinate with Desktop, Server and Engineering team the deployment of the Snow Inventory Agent across the engineering environment and establishment of a consistent process for managing the Inventory Agent across both unclassified and classified environments.

•             Data Analytics Support and develop an analytics model which address RMS Service team needs.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Direct and manage software product contracts from beginning to end, including procurement, development, service control, and consultants.

+ Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets for the purpose of tracking their corresponding licenses.

+ Advise and define license recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

+ Negotiate terms, conditions of sale, and warranties of software applications with key suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

+ Assist Contract Manager and/or Purchasing/Procurement Manager in developing and implementing all software purchasing policies.

+ Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.

+ Monitor licenses for compliance with organizational needs and requirements, including follow-up checks for corrective action.

Administer license change management and license closure. Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent licensing activities and best practices.
