Job description for the position of Associate Principal Engineer Job title :- Associate Principal EngineerReporting to :- Cloud & DC Manager (functional) Regional Head Service Delivery & Operations (dotted)Supervisor :- Cloud & DC ManagerFunction :- Service Delivery & OperationsSub-function :- Regional Service OperationsPosition type :- Full time Job overview / summary Associate Principal Engineer / IT Specialist is a highly skilled system administrator with expert knowledge in platform automation. Who will do Planning design, technical review, and implementation of enterprise automation and self-service tools. IT Specialist job is a technical job to manage day-to-day operations in cloud/data centers in all service delivery scenarios, primarily in regards to service requests, changes, incident and problem resolutions, and facilitation of second line support. Associate Principal Engineer / IT Specialist works closely with Application and Database Engineers in Professional Services, and can work with Project Managers by being involved in service implementation as part of the project team and/or provide support. Important skills for the are advanced technical and software application knowledge of services provided by Professional Services, as well as service management knowledge. Objectives
  • Handling service requests, change, incident and problem management
  • Completeness and accuracy of ticket data and documentation
  • Follow Professional Services process landscape and compliance requirements
  • Take accountability and responsibility towards assigned process roles
Responsibilities & General responsibilities
  • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, integration of end-to-end solution
  • Resolution of incidents and problems
  • Plan and execute changes, including coordination, planning and notification about changes
  • Perform needed or on demand health checks of services/solutions
  • Support Cloud & DC Manager with information to be used in capacity planning
  • Provide input regarding future and continuous needs in regards to new investments to maintain existing and future services to Cloud & DC Manager and Regional Head Service
Delivery & Operations
  • Manage time in accordance with planned and assigned activities to ensure accuracy and quality in planning
  • Follow Professional Services global policies, procedures and tools
  • Meet compliance and information security requirements in Service Operations
  • Evaluate, improve and add applicable work instructions
Education and experience
  • University degree in Computer Sciences, IT or related technical/engineering field
  • Preferably Telecommunications and/or Payment industry experience
  • 5+ years of server administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years’ experience working in a production environment or datacenter with heterogeneous IT infrastructure
  • Experience working with cloud automation tools such as Azure/ AWS/ Ansible/ Terraform/ Jenkins.
  • Must have solid System Administration skills in VMware, Windows, and Linux systems
  • 3+ years of scripting experience using enterprise-level programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl, Microsoft PowerShell, vSphere PowerCLI, GIT)
  • Solid TCP/IP knowledge.
  • Kubernetes Cluster Administration & Configuration.
  • Azure AKS Security, Knowledge of container security principles, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Patch Management and Vulnerability Assessment.
  • Experience with storage provisioning, compute, management, & backup; ability to assess storage needs & provide solutions
  • ITIL v3/v4 foundation certification
Knowledge and skills
  • Focus on internal IT service delivery involves interactions directly with all IT technology areas.
  • Awareness to ITIL framework & concepts.
  • Knowledge of relevant market technologies in secure environments
  • Service specific knowledge related to payment, telecommunication and OEM solutions
  • Basic understanding of software development processes
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Very organized and quality conscious
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving mentality
  • Must work well in a team environment.

Additional knowledge and skills for intermediate position
  • Knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, Java applications
  • Ability to integrate, install and configure software
  • Technical ability to understand service portfolio and mobile technology in general
  • Market trends (e.g. SaaS, Cloud, Virtualization, Digitalization)
