Product Development Expert - Chennai

 Key Accountabilities
 

  1. To Identify opportunity in the market
  2. To identify the gaps in the product as well the weakness
  3. Identify competitive positioning for the product  
  4. Identify the product roadmap
  5. SWOT analysis against competition
    1. Tracking competition errors
    2. Tracking Competition wins
  6. Work with engineering teams for obtaining the effort for Product roadmap and place for management approval
  7. Create market facing materials and collateral
  8. Participate in all analyst relationship, provide demos to Analyst and explain product features
  9. Provide training to sales/Geo team on product . Makes Sales Understand the product capabilities
  10. Handling Analyst relationship
  11. Market Entry Decision - Identifying Business
  12. Ability to solution for key Core Banking requirements

Product Vision, Positioning and Roadmap Articulation
Product Investment budget
Market Occupancy Analysis
Market Development by running product awareness campaign and replacement Market by running replacement campaign
Reference Site Development by meeting customers and managing their concerns

Key Competencies
 
Domain knowledge -  A Good Working knowledge of Bank operations
Core Banking Product experience  - Core Banking product work experience of 8 years  preferably in a competitor product like Temenos/Infosys/TCS
Competitor Product knowledge – A Through  knowledge of the competition and their products
Knowledge of Technology  - A good knowledge of the current technologies in various spheres of banking
 
 
                          Experience Profile 1 :
  1. Should have worked in a  Banking software company for 10 years in both domain and technology areas
                          Experience Profile 2 :
  1. Should have worked in a Pre Sales /Product Management  unit for a competitor company for e.g. in Temenos / Infosys / TCS / Misys similar organization   for atleast 3 + years  and
  2. Should have  working experience in  banking operations  for atleast 7 years
                                              
                      Experience Profile 3:
  1. Should have worked in a Pre Sales /Product Management  unit for a competitor company for e.g. in Temenos / Infosys / TCS / Misys / similar organization   for atleast  10 +  years 
 
               
Abilities sought
 
  1. Ability to understand the Banks Core banking requirements
  2. Complete understanding Branch and  Back Office needs
  3. Good Technology  understanding
  4. Understand  how the  Core Banking Software Applications works and its capability
  5. Ability to understand the Market needs
  6. Ability to indentify the strength and weakness of all  competitive products
  7. Ability to work as a Team with large group
  8. Should have analytical capabilities
  9. Should  have presentation preparation capabilities
  10. Ability to Discuss with Analysts  and defend the product capabilities
  11. Ability to draw specifications/Solutions for Roadmap items
  12.  Ability  to envision future market  and product needs
 
Knowledge sought:
  1. A good understanding of banking - especially the Branch Operations, Core banking operations like Account Servicing, Deposit  Servicing, Channel needs of customer
  2. A Good Tecchnology understanding especially the latest  tecchnology
  3. Knowledge of competitive products such as Finacle / Temenos  is a must
