Senior Database Engineer

TTEC Hyderabad, Telangana, India (Onsite) Full-Time

What You’ll Do
Looking for an opportunity to be a part of an amazing technical team focusing on all aspects of the Network and Security infrastructure supporting our global presence?  You’ll have operational responsibility to support data and applications technology verticals, including Implementation, Administration, and operational support our database and data system. You’ll manage the ongoing operations of all the company’s database Infrastructure elements, including MariaDB, MySQL, PostgresSQL, MSSQL, Oracle DB and MongoDB both on-prem and in the cloud.

You’ll optimize the performance and availability of secure database infrastructure through the application of best practices such as troubleshooting, maintenance, new application implementations, performance monitoring, and recommend appropriate course of actions and methodologies to achieve success. Utilizing tools like InnoDB, MyISAM, CohesityBackup, MSSMS, and phpMyAdmin to manage our DB and DBaaS platforms. You’ll mentor more junior employees; help develop the latest in communications topologies and advance our network and security to the next level.

You'll report to the DBA sustainment service supervisor ensuring that TTEC networks are the backbone of our operations, and make sure we can communicate with each other, and making all our customer interactions amazing.

During a Typical Day, You’ll

•        Monitoring vendor interaction with company’s network and edge services / devices; identifies issues and provides guidance/support through to resolution. Ensures the timely delivery of required services.

•        Maintains and liaison with equipment manufacturers' and other vendors' support teams to ensure satisfactory support levels and resolution of issues.

•        Assisting in the maintaining and implementation of company’s application operations, including goals, priorities and policies relating to company’s information and compliance management.

•        Manages the ongoing support and configuration of all elements of the company’s voice and communications network, Including MariaDB 10.4 /11.0 , MySQL 7.0/8.0, MSSQL 2017 , and Oracle 19c

•        Be a critical member of our technical support staff in maintaining efficient operation of company’s Collaboration and communication systems.

•        Implements and maintains data network devices to provide for the 24x7x365 availability of the technology environment.

•        Exceptional documentation and communication skills in English.

 

What You Bring to the Role

•        Flexible person with the ability to manage stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing environments and requirements.

•        Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-cultural, customer-oriented environment.

•        Ability to work days, evenings, and overnights; with weekends and after-hours on-call as required; 24x7 support.

•        Requires a minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in the database administration and automation role.

•        Proficient working knowledge and implementation skills of Linux, Windows, and AIX

•        Deep understanding of database platforms such as BigData, AzureSQL and

•        Working knowledge of custom and commercial application integration methods to databases utilizing APIs and best query practices

•        Comprehensive knowledge around database architecture, management, upkeep and administration of DBs.

•        Mid-level certification or equivalent experience with DB manufactures or industry standard. (Microsoft, Google, Oracle, MariaDB or equivalent work experience of 4-7 years).
