J2EE Development Senior

• The Dealer Network Information (DNI) Product Team within the Marketing & Sales Dealer Network and Employee Engagement Department maintains multiple foundational applications that are used to update, maintain, and distribute the core dealer contract and location information.
• The DNI Product team is experiencing increased demand for its data/services.
• To support that demand, the team is modernizing both the core applications to Angular and its legacy interfaces to use rest APIs and Google APIGEE.
• This position is an opportunity to work with a strong team within on critical core applications across multiple technologies and provides an opportunity to modernize and shape the future of the Product.
• The primary goal of this position is development and production support of the Dealer Information Database (DID) application.
• The DID application is a java struts web site with a DB2 database and we use the mainframe and java rest api’s for ETL purposes. Java Struts, Springboot, and SQL skills are required.
• Java Angular experience would also be highly in demand as we’re engaging in a modernization of the DID front end

Skills Required:

• Experience with Java Struts
• Experience developing java Rest API's using Springboot
• Experience with Cloud Technologies (PCF, GCP, or equivalent)
• Experience with key development and deployment tools (ex. GitHub, & Jenkins)
• SQL/database experience involving multiple, complex queries
• Analytical experience of complex applications and data relationships
• Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a product team
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Strong drive for results and ability to work independently
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing
• Experience in creating and executing detailed test plans
• Strong Agile Project management capabilities
• Proficient in using Rally (or similar Agile Project Management tool) to help drive a metrics driven approach for IT team
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
• Ability to deliver under pressure

Skills Preferred:

• Experience with Java Angular

Experience Required:

• Five or more years in Information Technology.
• SQL skills (DB2 experience is a bonus)

• Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
• SFTP
• Analytical experience of complex applications and data relationships
• Experience in obtaining and understanding business requests
• Experience in creating and executing detailed test plans
• Experience with Agile teams as well as Rally/Jira
• Experience with audits, Software development process, and controls

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in an information technology related discipline
