Job Description Summary:

In this role, you will lead software development for the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) product, spanning several capabilities inclusive of Strategic Planning, Goals Framework, Project & Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Agile Development 2.0, and Application Portfolio Management (APM). All development must be done in accordance with industry leading practices and published PayPal development standards. As lead developer, you will be asked to focus on providing solutions that prioritize configuration over custom development.

You will impact the success of PayPal through the design and development of ServiceNow features that enable PayPal’s successful implementation and value realization of ServiceNow’s SPM suite of products. Your work will enable PayPal to execute our digital transformation and customer enablement goals. As a senior ServiceNow developer, you will use your ServiceNow design, development, and implementation experience to define optimal design and development choices – ensuring fit-for-purpose and out-of-the-box first solutions. 

 

 

Your day to day  

In your day-to-day role you will 

  • Guarantee the successful design and development of the ServiceNow SPM suite of applications, inclusive of Strategic Planning, Goals Framework, Project & Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Agile Development 2.0, and Application Portfolio Management (APM) 

  • Review and evaluate all design and development scope for ServiceNow SPM applications 

  • Work closely with the ServiceNow platform architecture team to review all key decision points, configuration, and customization 

  • Work closely with other members of the ServiceNow development team, ensuring the successful development of configuration aligned to prescribed design guidance 

  • Assist the ServiceNow product management team with translating functional and technical business requirements to leading practice designs and OOTB-first development 

 

What do you need to bring  

  • Bachelor’s degree OR appropriate combination of education and experience 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Admin (CSA) 

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or the CIS – PPM certification if obtained in the past 2 years 

  • 5+ years' experience as a senior ServiceNow developer, experience with ServiceNow design and architecture concepts and principles 

  • Experience designing and developing integration technologies such as LDAP, REST, SOAP, or JDBC 

  • Hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow Strategic Planning Workspace (previously Alignment Planner), Project & Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Agile Development 2.0, or Resource Management 

  • Working experience with platform applications such as Performance Analytics, Surveys and Assessments, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub 

  • Working experience with ServiceNow CSDM and CMDB to enable the successful deployment and operationalization of Application Portfolio Management (APM) capabilities
