Program Manager Job Description
Cognizant has a need for a Program Manager Lead.
- Evangelize IT PMO industry best practices
- Determine and define program/project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Develop and manage a comprehensive program schedule and work plan
- Provide program/project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire program/project execution
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Excellent communication, organization, time-management and leadership skills
- Successfully lead assignments to completion
- Communicate to IT Leadership, Portfolio Leaders / POC's and key team members involved
- Provide project managers with feedback, motivation
- Troubleshoot problems that come up during projects
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed
