Devops Engineer

 We are looking for a talented System Engineer with passion for finance application or the interest to develop that passion.  Our emerging team of continuous build engineers is looking for a new team member. We are coding the world leading banking risk management stack based on C#, .NET and a growing number of open source libraries. An appropriate degree in computer engineering or related field is suggested.

Responsibilities

• Co-maintain the underlying VMware landscape (ESX Enterprise) and ensure application of all security related FIS policies
• Conduct performance testing, including automating testing and extending CI pipelines
• Contribute to the development and operation of our Bitbucket and Team City environments
• Responsible for security & patching of the servers
• Investigate new tools that improve the build and deployment processes
• Investigate new technologies like Docker and its integration into the continuous build process
• Establish a formal benchmark and performance test strategy and tool chain in close cooperation with our Risk Performance architects
• Develop and automate monitoring for external and in-house products
• Collaborate with developers, QA, BA personnel and participate in development process

Essential Skills

• Understanding of DevOps (Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, PowerShell DSC, Docker)
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server Environment
• Solid knowledge of VMWare/ vCenter solutions
• Experience developing in a scripting language such as PowerShell
• Self-motivated to learn new technology and stays up-to-date with latest technology,
• Great interpersonal and communication skills interacting with the team peers around the world (Boston, Zurich, Belgrade, Melbourne)
• Fluency in English (full professional proficiency)

Desirable Skills

• Interest in modern best practices and tools for software development
• Interest in working on a complex financial application
• Interest in performance engineering and continuous build and test landscapes.
• Good knowledge of WindowsBasic knowledge in Internet Information Services (IIS) Web Setup and Deploy
• Basic network and firewall knowledge
• Basic Linux skills
• Knowledge of some programming language
• Working with Big Data and NoSQL e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, Apache SPARK
• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios
