Subject Matter Expert Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure

 Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Windows server infrastructure deployed in the customer environment which includes Windows servers, Windows cluster, Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP, Hyper-V, VMs etc.
• Manage operational maintenance, security, and availability of Windows based infrastructure
• Perform Domain health checkup and monitor AD replication
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows server and infrastructure services
• Perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as part of problem management
• Assist in analyzing historical usage for tracking and trending by CPU, memory, I/O and storage
• Identify performance bottleneck and suggest for the improvements
• Implement capacity improvement plan
• Develop and maintain the Technical Disaster Recovery Plan. Provide technical support during disaster. Execute Technical Disaster Recovery plan during DR and DR drill.
• Resolve OS vulnerabilities identified by IT Security team

This is a customer-facing role and is ideal for an excellent communicator with a positive outlook and a get-the-job done attitude. Ideally you should have 5-8 years relevant experience in large scale deployment of Windows and AD infrastructure, having minimum 10 years of industry experience. You should be ready to work in customer time zone and during off business hours to carryout changes.
Qualifications & Work Experience:

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/ B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science)
• Experience on managing large scale environment running on server virtualization
• At least 5 years of experience in managing windows server, Active Directory, GPO, Hyper-V etc.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server OS, Windows Cluster, Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, GPO etc.
• Experience on Microsoft middleware e.g. IIS administration and configuration
• Solid understanding of standard client-server, Networking, and Internet concepts
• Proven experience on virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
• Working experience in cloud environment (AWS, Azure) 
• Proven experience on Scripting – PowerShell, VBScript or other languages
• Working experience in cloud environment (AWS, Azure) 
• Experience working with some or all technologies below:
• Windows Server 2016/2019
• Hyper-V
• WSUS/ SCCM
• Logon scripts
• Active Directory & Azure Active Directory
• Group Policy Management and Deployment
• Knowledge of core Infrastructure services and functions (ADFS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PKI, LDAP, etc.)
• Log management solutions such as LogRhythm
• Azure / AWS

• Understanding and experience in working within an ITIL framework operational environment.
