Role: Datadog Observability Engineer

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ability to create/modify Datadog agent YAML configuration to enable multiple checks.
• Experience in creating playbooks to automate the agent installation and configuration process.
• Knowledge in Open Telemetry concept to extract metrics from the infrastructure
• Experience in customizing the application code to enable traces and spans.
• Experience in enabling the Digital Experience for browser and Mobile applications.
• Ability to create API, Browser synthetic tests in Datadog.
• Strong understanding of Log ingesting, indexing, parsing and exploring in Datadog.
• Ability to create pipelines, parsers and archives in log processing.
• Knowledge in best practices of Tagging in Datadog.
• Strong knowledge in Datadog integrations with various technologies and tools.
• Good understanding of Cloud terminology and components.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g.,Python, Ansible, Chef, jenkins).
• Strong dashboarding skill as per business and application requirements.
• Experience in User management and licensing in Datadog.
• Ability to guide the L1 & L2 team members on Datadog solution implementation.
