AIX Administrator
Job Description
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing, administering, troubleshooting and maintenance of Linux and AIX system environments.
- Analytical and Communication skills
- Provide Linux & AIX Server support.
- Perform user management and troubleshooting (Tier-II Support).
- Assist application installers with various tasks and troubleshooting of the system.
- Provide Linux and AIX Server OS expertise - guidance to the application installers and developers.
- Plan and build secure Linux & AIX environment, updates, break/fix solutions.
- Perform systems integration functions for Linux & AIX based projects.
- Shell programming and use of automated scripting packages for system administration and software installation, management.
- Good knowledge of Networking, Patching and Monitoring
- 3 – 8 years of work experience administering Linux & AIX Server Environments
- 3 – 8 years of experience with providing Tier 2 technical support to site administrators when coding or integration issues arise.
- Experience with complex scripting
- Experience with implementing and maintaining the PKI Infrastructures, server certificates, Certificate Authority, Secure DNS (DNS SEC)
