Retail_Application_Architect
C#, .NET framework, VB .NET, WCF, MVC, MS SQL , Integration architecture and patterns., Understanding of and experience with at least 4 of the following libraries, concepts and patterns is a must: Inversion of control [IoC], Entity Framework 6.x, Factory Pattern, AutoMapper, Data Contract Serialization, STS SAML Tokens, Microsoft encryption / decryption APIs, OPOS / JavaPOS Understanding of Windows OS is a must
Prior experience using Azure DevOps is an advantage
The following are an advantage [not a must] Understanding of building cloud native applications in Azure, Azure service fabric, and Azure services and technologies in general
Knowledge of Docker, Container services and deployment
Certification [or understanding even] in any of the four enterprise architecture frameworks is a huge advantage
Knowledge of Azure and multi-tenant/SaaS solutions considered a plus
Understanding of build, release & deployments using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Bit Bucket is an advantage
[Retail Experience is mandatory] The candidate will have the following skills, capabilities, and experiences
Mandatory demonstrable capabilities: Expertise in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier architecture in a Microsoft .NET Framework
Comprehensive knowledge of object-oriented concepts with emphasis on .NET specifications, framework and design patterns using C
Ability to communicate clearly and crisply - verbally and in writing - in English
Convey technicalities in simple language to SCRUM masters, product owners, and customers [all stakeholders, internal and external].Understand business requirements, convert it to technical specifications and produce a component solution design to solve the presented problem
Represent complex designs in context diagrams, functional architectures, data architecture, and messaging architecture diagrams and descriptions
Present complex solutions to internal and external stakeholders [customers]
Willingness and ability to create a working proof of concept before handing a design to the developers is a must
Experience in designing scalable, fault tolerant, secure, serviceable, highly available solutions with inbuild redundancy
Designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware, and infrastructure
A background in software engineering and coding a huge advantage preference will be given to candidates who are looking to move from a hands-on senior developer / tech-lead roles to an application architect role
The following skills and capabilities give the candidate an added advantage in their role [but are not a must].Understanding of full stack application architecture [application, database, messaging, integrations, exception, and error handling] and application dependencies on underlying infrastructure is an advantage.Prior experience working in as part of a release train in a scaled agile framework is an advantage.Prior experience of API management and iPaaS technologies is an advantage.Performing design and code reviews.Experience or knowledge of retail domain, specifically retail point of service [POS] solutions.Understanding of fiscalization and fiscal requirements
