Migration Engineer

 Job Background

Using the Philips Data Migration Studio, the Migration engineer moves the customer's image data during hardware refresh and virtualization projects
Furthermore, with the DMS application the engineer migrates both Client/idx and 3.x/4.x legacy databases to newer versions of iSite application databases (Hawaii)
The engineer also assists with the tasks required for legacy EasyAccess to iSite migrations.

 

KAR

• Performing hardware refresh and archive module virtualization migration.

• Performing Imagecast database to iSite 3.x/4.x database migrations.

• Performing iSite 3.x/4.x database to iSite Hawaii database migrations.

• Assist in troubleshooting migrations issues involving the Philips Data Migration Studio

• Reporting migration details for the purpose of migration tracking and product improvement.

• Manage all stages of the migration

• Perform various Microsoft SQL tasks, performance tuning, maintenance, etc.

• Perform Microsoft Transact SQL queries, updates and data manipulations

• Demonstrate a high level of empathy for customer concerns

• Work as a team member, integral to the successful implementation of targeted objectives

• Resolve migration service issues

• Document results of customer contacts using HEAT or One EMS tracking systems

• Document suggestions for continued improvements to internal systems and products

• Document time using Clarity time entry system as directed by the Philips Project Manager.

 

Skillset

ESSENTIAL

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a product support, technical repair or troubleshooting capacity

• years' experience using Transact-SQL,SQL Server maintenance, troubleshooting and performance issues related to hardware and software

• Great customer relations skills

• Good organization, time management, and writing skills

• Computer savvy and familiarity with computer hardware acquisition and configuration

• Windows Server IT experience

• Network troubleshooting and analysis

• Demonstrated effective oral communication skills; diction, grammar and tone

DESIRED

• Technical degree

• PACS/DICOM experience (preferred but not mandatory)

• VMware experience/certification
