As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.A Software Engineer in this role:
1-3 years of experience
Works with application development team and stakeholders to establish infrastructure requirements
Works with internal teams and vendors to procure the necessary HW/SW in accordance with the solution requirements and procurement, security, legal policies
Uses scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
Uses CI/CD best practices and tools to establish orchestration and pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of software services
Creates processes to monitor, collect, store and analyze data to ensure that the release system is healthy, reliable, responsive and secured
Coordinates and works with application owners, IT and development teams to provide support and resolve escalations accordingly
Coordinates with and leverages offshore resources
Experience with agile development methods including continuous integration and continuous deployment
Proficiency with Windows/Linux OS basics, CLI, scripting languages such as PowerShell / Python
Experience working with Jenkins automation and version control systems such as Git / Perforce
Basic networking & security (e.g. Firewall Ports, Proxy Servers, LB, DNS) sufficient enough to work with IT Network Engineers
Experience working with Containers/Container Orchestration
Experience working with setting up monitoring tools like Prometheus and Splunk
Experience working infrastructure as code using tools such as Chef, Ansible and Terraform
Experience working with leading infrastructure vendors such as AWS and Azure.
Experience working with SQL databases such as SQL Server or MySQL and NoSQL stores such as ElasticSearch, MongoDB, AWS S3, etc. in an admin role
Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns and serverless architectures.
Qualifications
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
