Teradata
- 5 years' experience in development and maintenance of Data warehouse applications
- Experience in Teradata with loading data from various data sources and legacy systems into Teradata production and development warehouse using BTEQ, FASTEXPORT, MULTILOAD, FASTLOAD and TPT.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in delivering new and complex high quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements.
- Expertise in the Teradata cost based query optimizer, identified potential bottlenecks with queries from the aspects of query writing, skewed redistributions, join order, optimizer statistics, physical design considerations (PI and USI and NUSI and JI etc) etc. In-depth knowledge of Teradata Explain to analyze and improve query performance.
- Performance tuning, including collecting statistics, analyzing explains & determining which tables needed statistics. Increased performance by 35-40% in some situations.
- Experience in Big Data technologies like HDFS, Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc.
- 3 years of experience in Big Data platform implementation, including 2 years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning Hadoop/Spark implementations
- Hands-on experience of building and optimizing high-volume, structured and unstructured data processing pipeline
- Experience in building complex views, stored procedure
- Worked on creating and managing the partitions.
- Experience in Version upgrade and disaster recovery preferred
- Experience in Dimensional Modelling preferred
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries
