Trident Consulting is looking for a Windows Administrator for one of our clients

Role: Windows Administrator
Location: Chennai /Hyderabad /Bangalore
Type: Fulltime

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of different Windows operating systems, including their life cycles, supported hardware, and software dependencies.
2. Identify Windows operating systems approaching or at their end-of-life (EOL) and develop remediation plans accordingly.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of EOL operating systems on business-critical applications and infrastructure.
4. Plan and execute Windows OS upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities to ensure continued system stability and security.
5. Work closely with IT teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance windows and minimize disruptions to end-users.
6. Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies during OS remediation activities.
7. Develop and maintain documentation related to Windows EOL remediation processes, procedures, and best practices.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and security vulnerabilities related to Windows operating systems.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members and other IT teams as needed.
10. Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to obtain necessary support and resources for Windows OS remediation projects.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator, Windows Engineer, or similar role.
3. In-depth knowledge of various Windows operating systems, their life cycles, and supported hardware and software.
4. Experience planning and executing Windows OS upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities in enterprise environments.
5. Strong understanding of Windows OS architecture, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related technologies.
6. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and system administration tasks.
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
10. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or similar are preferred.
